MASON CITY, Iowa – The countdown to the start of the Mason City Toros’ inaugural season hasn’t changed…but the clock is now running a little faster as fans get set to get their first look at the River City’s brand-new NA3HL hockey team.
The Toros are excited to announce their first on-ice appearance, set for Sunday, September 19 as they host a preseason exhibition contest against the Wausau Cyclones. While the Toros are taking the North Iowa Bulls’ place in the NA3HL following North Iowa’s elevation to the North American Hockey League, the Cyclones are enjoying a new identity under new ownership that purchased the team during the past offseason. Wausau also held its preseason tryout camp in conjunction with the Toros’ camp last month.
The game is set for a 1:30 p.m. puck drop, with live streaming coverage available exclusively on HockeyTV. Tickets for the game are just $5 for adults age 13 and older. Kids 12 years of age and under are free, but must have a valid ticket if sitting in their own seat. Kids under the age of 5 will be admitted free if sitting in a lap.
Tickets for this game will go on sale on Tuesday, September 7, while single-game tickets for the Toros’ 22 regular-season home contests will be made available beginning Thursday, September 2. Season tickets for the 2021-22 campaign remain on sale, with several perks available for season ticket holders. Fans can also keep up with the latest Bulls content online by following the team’s social media platforms on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
