Mason City, IA- The Mason City Toros are excited to announce that forward Stone Resch and defenseman Carter Bollinger have been named Captains of the Toros for the 2025-26 season.

Stone Resch is in his third season with the Toros. He made his debut in 2023 after three excellent seasons at Tartan Senior High School in Oakdale, MN. The Woodbury native wore an A for the Toros last season and played in 45 of the Toros’ 47 games. Across his prior two seasons, Resch suited up in 83 games and scored 13 goals and 19 assists for 32 points.
“Stone has been a leader for this team, serving as an alternate captain last season,” said Toros Head Coach Alex North. “He has more than proven he can lead this group both on and off the ice. His work ethic has never been in question, which is exactly what you want in a captain.”
Carter Bollinger is in his fourth Toros season. He made his debut in Mason City back in the 2022-23 season and split both that and the next season between the Toros and playing high school hockey for Sartell-St. Stephen High School. He played a full season last year with the Toros, lacing up for 42 of the Toros’ 47 games. Across his three previous seasons of Toros hockey, Bollinger played in 72 games and scored 2 goals & 22 assists for 24 points. The Sartell, Minnesota native skated in both the 2023 & 2024 Fraser Cup postseasons.
“Carter shows up every day ready to compete and be a steady presence on and off the ice,” said Coach North. He is one of the most physical and dependable players I’ve coached, and he never shies away from a challenge.”
The Mason City Toros begin the 2025-26 season with a two-game weekend series against the Minnesota Wilderness at the Mason City Arena on September 12th & 13th. Tickets are available by using the link here.
