Mason City, IA- Mason City Toros forward & Captain Stone Resch has committed to play college hockey at the University of Jamestown, in Jamestown, North Dakota.
Resch is a third year Toro and has earned a spot in Mason City’s proud NA3HL history with 120 games played, the 10th most of all Mason City NA3HL players.
The Woodbury, Minnesota, native arrived to Mason City in the 2023-24 season and performed well to help the Toros clinch a spot in the 2024 Fraser Cup Playoffs, playing 38 games . He wore an “A” for the 2024-25 season and played 45 of the team’s 47 games.
This year, Resch wears the Captain’s “C” and has played all 40 Toro games and has posted a career best 15 goals and 17 assists for 32 points. He’s tied for second on the Toros with four power play goals and is third on the team with eight power play points. Resch was also selected to represent the Toros at the 2026 NA3HL Top Prospects Tournament in Plymouth, Michigan.

“I couldn’t be more proud of Stone,” said Toros Head Coach Alex North. “For three years in a Toros jersey, he’s been a steady presence and a leader our locker room could always count on. He’s left a lasting impact on this organization, and we wish him nothing but the best moving forward.”
The University of Jamestown is a top ACHA Division 1 Program. The Jimmies are currently ranked 7th in the ACHA and are consistently a top-ten program in the ACHA.
