LEVIS STAYS IN IOWA, COMMITS TO UNIVERSITY OF DUBUQUE

 

The Mason City Toros are pleased to announce that forward, Cal Levis III, has committed to the University of Dubuque to play NCAA III College hockey.

 

The Rogers, Minnesota native joined the Toros in their inaugural season (2021/22) and played his entire junior career with the Toros. Over two seasons, Levis played in 85 games while racking up 40 goals and 22 assists for 62 points. Levis’ also was named an Alternate Captain for the 2022/23 season, helping the Toros to the playoffs in his two season in the River City.

 

Former Toros Head Coach, and current North Iowa Bulls Head Coach, Nick Bruneteau, had the following to say on Levis, “Cal is a great teammate who will go to war for his guys. He took big steps from his first year to his second, and was a very important player for us. We’re excited to watch Cal continue to grow and have success at the NCAA level.”

 

The Toros play a preseason game against the Norwegian, Frisk Asker u20 on September 10. The Mason City Toros kick off their regular season in Breezy Point, Minnesota on September 15 & 16 against the Loons, and their home opener on September 22 vs. the Alexandria Blizzard.
