Mason City, IA – Mason City Toros defenseman Jimmy Pautsch has committed to play College Hockey at Purdue University-Northwest, in Hammond, Indiana.
Pautsch came to Mason City during the 2025-26 season from the Wisconsin Woodsmen and ultimately laced up for 13 of his 63 career NA3HL games in Mason City. He notched three assists for the Toros and helped push Mason City into the 2026 Fraser Cup Postseason. All told, Pautsch recorded 1 goal and 12 assists for 13 points in his NA3HL Career.
Pautsch becomes the fifth Toro to make a collegiate hockey commitment this season. He joins former Mason City Toro Easton Tok on the PNW roster for the 2026-27 season.
Purdue University – Northwest is based in Hammond, Indiana, and competes at the top level of the ACHA. The Pride qualified for the 2026 ACHA National Tournament this year.
