Mason City, IA- Mason City Toros forward Jason Williams has been selected as the West Division’s Star of the Week for the first week of the 2025-26 regular season.
The St. Louis, MO, native took the ice for both games of the Toros’ season opening series against the Minnesota Wilderness. In those two games, Williams made his NA3HL debut in style, posting four goals to power the Toros to a three-point weekend and a first-place spot in the West Division standings.
In the Friday night matchup, Jason scored the first goal of his NA3HL career, which ended up being the only goal the Toros scored that night as the team earned a point in an overtime defeat. The next night, Saturday, Williams recorded a hat trick, which included the Toros’ first empty net goal of the season.

“I couldn’t be happier for Jason earning this honor,” said Toros Head Coach Alex North. “He comes to the rink every day with the right attitude and work ethic, and it showed in both games. Jason plays the game the right way, and this recognition is a well-deserved reward for his efforts.”
Williams efforts have him leading the NA3HL’s West Division in goal scoring and tied for the division lead in points scoring.
The Toros continue their September slate of home games with a two-game series on the 19th & 20th against the Alexandria Blizzard. Puck drop on Friday is scheduled for 7:10 while Saturday is slated for 6:30. Tickets are available by clicking the link here.
