Sota Isogai scored twice and added a pair of assists as the Mason City Toros defeated the New Ulm Steel, 8-1, on Tuesday night at the Mason City Arena.
Isogai took over second on the team in scoring by striking 53 seconds into the game and then again late in the second period.
Cal Levis scored in the third to give him his third goal in the last two games. Carter Newpower stretched his point streak to six games with a goal and two assists.
Luke Robertson, Colin Hedland, Derek Humphreys and Ethan Peterson also scored for Mason City.
The Toros scored three times in the first period before a late turnover led to New Ulm’s only goal of the game. Mason City added three more goals in the second before a two-goal third period.
These two teams will square off for the third time in a week this Saturday at 7:10 p.m. at the New Ulm Civic Center.
