Fritel & Menne Selected to NA3HL’s Top Prospects Tournament

Mason City, IA- The Mason City Toros are excited to announce that forward Marcus Fritel and defenseman Sam Menne have been selected to represent the Toros at the NA3HL’s Top Prospects Tournament.

Marcus Fritel is in his third season with the Toros and currently is in the midst of a remarkable year on the ice. In 31 games, Fritel has posted 23 goals and 29 assists for 52 points, leading the Toros and the entire western division in overall scoring. He’s Top-20 in the NA3HL in goals (16th), assists (18th), shorthanded goals (13th with 2), shorthanded assists (7th with 3) and game winning goals (7th with 5). Across his career, the Elk River, MN, native has suited up for 99 games and posted 44 goals & 68 assists for 112 points. Fritel has been selected as the Western Division’s Star of the Week three times this season. 

Sam Menne is the Toros’ second leading scorer with 4 goals & 24 assists for 28 points.  The Lino Lakes, MN, native is 13th among NA3HL defensemen for overall scoring, 8th in assists, 6th in power play assists (12). Across his two seasons in Mason City, Menne has suited up for 76 games and recorded 9 goals & 53 assists for 62 points. 

The two will be suiting up for the NA3HL’s Team White for games on February 17th & 18th at the USA Hockey Arena in Plymouth, MI.
