Fritel and Thomas Called Up to North Iowa Bulls

Mason City, IA- The Mason City Toros are thrilled to announce that Dominic Thomas and Marcus Fritel are being called up to the North Iowa Bulls! These two are our first two NAHL call ups of the 2023-24 season. 

Both players are in their second seasons with the organization. Thomas (’04) started last season with the NA3HL’s Granite City Lumberjacks before arriving to Mason City. Across 26 total games in the league last regular season, the Hermantown, MN, native recorded 5 goals and 11 assists for 16 points and skated in all three of the Toros playoff games in the 2023 Fraser Cup Playoffs. This year, Thomas has piled up a team high 7 goals and 5 assists for 12 points across the first nine games of the season. 

Fritel (’04) skated in 24 Toros games last season and scored 5 goals and 10 assists for 15 points. This year, the Elk River, MN, native has 4 goals and 4 assists for 8 points in 9 games. 

The two will be skating for the North Iowa Bulls against the Aberdeen Wings. It will be both of their debuts in the NAHL.

The Toros continue their road swing this upcoming weekend against the Granite City Lumberjacks.
