The Mason City Toros face the Willmar WarHawks in the West Division Semifinals this week in the first round of the 2022 Fraser Cup Playoffs.
The Toros finished second in the West Division with a 33-13-1-0 record and 67 points to earn home-ice advantage for this first-round matchup against the WarHawks (32-14-1-0, 65 points). Mason City won five-of-eight games against Willmar in the regular season and went 16-5-1-0 in games at the Mason City Arena.
Game 1 is Thursday in Mason City at 7 p.m. Game 2 is the next night at 7:10 p.m. at the Willmar Civic Center before the series returns to the River City for Game 3 on Sunday at 4 p.m., if necessary.
The winner of this series will meet the winner of the other West Division Semifinal matchup between the Alexandria Blizzard and the Granite City Lumberjacks in the West Division Finals
