Mason City, IA- Former Mason City Toro Goaltender Erik Chaffe has committed to play NCAA DIII Hockey at the University of Dubuque, in Dubuque Iowa!
The Cedar Rapids, IA, native played 20 games between the pipes for the 2021-22 Mason City Toros, recording a 15-4-1 record and a .934 save percentage. He recorded a .925 save percentage in two playoff games that season to help the Toros to the Western Division Finals.
Erik also played in the NAHL for the North Iowa Bulls, suiting up for ten games between the pipes for the 2022-23 edition of the Bulls, and played for the Minot Minotauros in the NAHL as well.
Chaffe will join former Toro teammate Cal Levis on the Spartans roster in eastern Iowa.
