Christian Plaga Named to NA3HL All-Rookie Team

Mason City, IA – Mason City Toros forward Christian Plaga has been named to the NA3HL’s All Rookie 2nd Team. 

The Manhattan Beach, California, native played 38 games in his junior hockey debut season and scored 21 goals and 28 assists for 49 points. Plaga’s point total finished tied for second on the Toros with fellow California native Luke Gustafson and only behind TJ Gibson by one point. His goal and assist total were also the second highest on the team behind Gibson & Gustafson respectively. Plaga’s point per game pace of 1.29 was the best on the Toros. Plaga tied fellow rookie Jason Williams for the most game winning goals on the team with 3.

Plaga played both postseason games for the Toros and ripped home a power play goal on the road in Granite City.

The Shattuck-St. Mary’s alumnus is joined on the All-NA3HL Rookie 2nd Team by Ivan Korshikov (Forward, New Jersey Titans), Shayne Smith (Forward, Yellowstone Quake), Joel Anderson (Defenseman, Wasau Cyclones), Lorenzo Pekarek (Defenseman, Pelham Prowlers), and Gavin Erickson (Goaltender, Texas Brahmas).
