Mason City, IA – The Mason City Toros are excited to announce our schedule for the 2025 NA3HL Showcase. Between December 14th and December 16th, the Toros will play three non-divisional games at the National Sports Center’s Super Rink.
The schedule begins on Sunday, December 14th, in the first game of the entire showcase slate against the New Mexico Ice Wolves on Rink 1. It continues on Monday, December 15th, at 12:30 PM against the Buzz on Rink 3. And it concludes at 12:15 PM on Tuesday, December 16th against the Great Falls Americans on Rink 2.

Mason City sits at 4th place in the NA3HL’s West Division at 9-9-4-0. TJ Gibson (22GP: 13G/11A/24P) leads the Toros in goal scoring and overall scoring. Toro Captain Stone Resch (22GP: 8G/14A/22P) leads the team in assists. Resch returns to the building in which he scored his first NA3HL goal at the 2023 edition of the NA3HL Showcase against Danbury. Mason City has gone 2-1 at each of the last two NA3HL Showcases. Last season, the Toros beat the Wisconsin Woodsmen 7-6 in a shootout, edged the Bozeman Ice Dogs 2-1, and fell in a nailbiter 4-3 to the Rochester Grizzlies.
Toros 2025 Showcase Opponents
New Mexico currently sits at 4thin the South Division with a 13-6-1-2 record. The Ice Wolves are coming off the best season of their four-season history in Albuquerque, New Mexico, in which they made a run all the way to the Fraser Cup Championship game, falling to the Louisiana Drillers in their longest playoff run in franchise history. Jacob Wenner (21GP: 7G/17A/24P) and (22GP: 11G/12A/13P) lead the Ice Wolves in overall scoring and goal scoring respectively.
The Buzz play in Elmira, NY, and sit in 3rd in the East Division with a 12-7-1-0 record. They are in the second season of their franchise existence and won the East Division’s regular season and postseason titles last season. Tanner Nenninger (20GP: 11G/11A/22P) is the Buzz’s leading goal scorer and overall scorer.
The Great Falls Americans are in 2nd place in the Frontier Division at 15-8-1-1. From Great Falls, Montana, the Americans have been a mainstay in the Frontier Division since their addition to the NA3HL in 2014, making the Fraser Cup Championship round twice. Cooper Clause (25GP: 13G/28A/41P) leads the Americans in goal and overall scoring.
Additional Non-Showcase Schedule Notes
The Toros have played two out-of-division games this season when the Central Division’s West Bend Power came to the Mason City Arena. The Toros split that weekend series with a 4-3 shootout win and a 4-1 regulation loss. They’ll add two more games against the Central Division’s St. Louis Jr. Blues in January to the non-division slate.
Mason City takes the ice three more times before going to the Super Rink for the Showcase. They face the Minnesota Moose at Fogerty Ice Arena, also in Blaine, on Friday, December 5th, and then the Willmar WarHawks on Saturday, December 6th at the Willmar Civic Center before hosting the WarHawks on December 12th at 7:10 PM in the last home game of the calendar year for the Toros.
